About Georgia Mountains YMCA
Mission Statement
To put Christian principles into practice through programs, services, and relationships that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
Vision Statement
The YMCA is a Christian movement. At its center are Christians who, regarding Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, desire to share their faith with others and make Him known, believed, trusted, loved, served and exemplified in all human relationships. It welcomes into its fellowship persons of other religious faiths and those of none.
Purpose Statement
The Georgia Mountains YMCA, in harmony with the YMCA National purpose, perceives itself as a Christian fellowship dedicated to improving the quality of life through programs and services which provide opportunities for people to reach their highest potential, develop a positive attitude of self and others, appreciate good health and fitness, acquire a value system and maintain spiritual awareness that manifests itself in our daily lives.
YMCAs build strong kids, strong families and strong communities. So, naturally, Y's seek employees who exhibit the values behind the mission (caring, honesty, respect, faith and responsibility), who enjoy people and want to make a difference.
