Tutoring

The Tutoring Program Focuses on reading, language arts, and math. The YMCA hires Certified teachers to tutor the students during Afterschool.

21st CCLC  Survey Results

Here are the recent results conducted by our External Evaluator. This is a tool used to measure students' progress and academic achievement. This helps keep parents informed of how the 21st Century YMCA Afterschool Program impacts their child. 

 According to recent surveys:

· Teachers
—  65% of students come better prepared to class.
— 65% of homework completion from students has improved. 
—  70% of student behavior has improved.

· Staff
—  63% agree that there is a balance between program activities.
—  65%  agree that the program teaches students how to resolve conflict.
— 65% agree that the program provides clear rules for students behavior.

· Students
— 55% of students feel proud of themselves when attending the Afterschool  Program.
— 55% of students feel more confident in themselves  as a result from attending Afterschool.
— 50% of students feel successful from attending afterschool.
