At the YMCA, sports programs encourage and promote healthy and strong kids, families and communities by placing a priority on family involvement, healthy competition rather than rivalry, the value of participation over winning, team building as well as individual development , a positive self image and a sense of fair play and mutual respect for others.
Our Soccer program consists of recreation teams as well as travel teams that play around the state. Academy and Select soccer are traveling teams and competitive soccer leagues. Academy is developmental and a good test of team skill. Select is a truly competitive soccer league. Both are a commitment and require some traveling. This is great for young athletes who want a more competitive atmosphere.
