YMCA Testimonials

Ayumi Khosravi
YMCA Counselor & Intern
Working for the YMCA truly changed my entire outlook on life. I began to feel a sense of fulfillment while working towards a goal of helping children. While working to bring light into less fortunate children’s lives, I slowly began to see the impact that the children made on my life. Working with children encouraged me to strive to be a good role model in the everyday activities of life. It also helped me to understand the importance of helping others.Working for the YMCA also gave me a sense of direction in life. As I face the challenge of career options for the future, I now know that my college years will not be spent in confusion. Instead, I seek a clear path that will eventually enable me to direct an organization that works towards making a brighter future for children.

Principal of Mt. Vernon Elementary
Kids are getting quality programs and quality supervision. With any child that wants to participate, the YMCA goes out of their way to accommodate them. Quite frankly, it has been fantastic. It has really been help to me and probably all the principals in Hall County.

While the YMCA has lots of programs strictly dedicated to youth, programs are certainly geared to the family as well. A healthy environment for our youth to develop is a key to success in my opinion, and certainly the YMCA offers that opportunity.

YMCA Board Member
There are lots of places we can go and spend time with our families, but not in an enclosed, close environment where we know that the values the YMCA stands for will be presented. At the YMCA, my kids can be in a clean environment where I don’t have to worry about what they hear or what is said around the corner, and that they can be taught the values that the YMCA and our family both stand for.
