Camp Pine Mountain - Day Camp 2025
Welcome to the Exciting World of Camp Pine Mountain at the Georgia Mountains YMCA!
Discover a world of adventure, growth, and friendship at Camp Pine Mountain, brought to you by the Georgia Mountains YMCA. Nestled in the heart of the stunning Georgia Mountains, our camp provides a unique and enriching experience for children of all ages.
Camp Overview:
Locations: J.A Walters (main facility), Spout Springs (south hall), Kilough (Dawson County)
Transportation Convenience: Ft. Kilough and Ft. Spout Springs serve as daily drop-off and pick-up locations, with a seamless transportation service to and from Ft. JA Walters each day(M-F).
Operations: All Camp Operation will be Monday through Friday from 7 am to 6 pm.
Exciting Features of Camp Pine Mountain:
Nature Immersion: Camp Pine Mountain offers a unique opportunity for children to connect with nature. Set against the backdrop of the Georgia Mountains, campers will engage in outdoor activities, hikes, and nature-based exploration. Every other week we will visit a state park. Refer to the fieldtrip schedule for more information.
Traditional YMCA Values: Rooted in the YMCA’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith, Camp Pine Mountain focuses on character development and instilling a sense of community among campers.
Camper Bonding: Experience the magic of camp assembly, where songs and skits are performed, friendships are forged, and memories are made. Our morning camp assembly create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all.
Program Highlights:
Saftey Around Water lessons : Dive into summer with our certified swim instructors, ensuring that campers not only have fun but also build essential water safety skills.
Summer Reading: Cultivate a love for reading with our engaging summer reading program, designed to spark imagination and curiosity.
STEAM: Our campers will participate in several thrilling steam activities!
Field Trips: Campers will embark on exciting field trips, adding an extra layer of adventure to their summer. From educational outings to recreational adventures, each trip is thoughtfully planned to enhance the overall camp experience. Refer to the field trip schedule for more information.

Camp Pine Mountain provides a safe, fun-filled environment where kids can explore, learn, and create lasting memories. With engaging activities, skilled staff, and a beautiful natural setting, it’s the perfect place to grow, play, and make new friends!
Drop-Off and Pick-Up Details:
Kilough Elementary will serve as the designated drop-off and pick-up location. Your child will be safely transported to and from the J.A. Walters camp each day.
